Launched in 2018, the Cambridge Heritage Research Centre brings together researchers in heritage studies from across the University of Cambridge. The Centre acts as focus for the sharing and advancement of heritage research within the University. Following a recent stay on the island, Prof Marie Louise Stig Sørensen reflects on the longhouse as heritage and explores the interweaving of the tangible and intangible dimensions at play and the roles of value and tradition in longhouse membership in contemporary society.
